Beach tennis activity in San Marino is managed by one of the clubs affiliated to the San Marino Tennis Federation, the San Marino Beach Tennis Sports Association. The president is Giuseppe Zafferani, the vice president is Stefano Pazzini.
The activity takes place mainly at the Wonderbay in Serravalle, an indoor facility that is at the top on the international scene.
The San Marino Beach Tennis Sports Association organizes and manages participation in the ITF international tournaments, the World Team Championships and the European Championships and other events for national teams.
The San Marino national team (led by Captain Stefano Pazzini) participates annually in the World Team Beach Tennis Championship and the European Beach Tennis Championship, and in the multidisciplinary events that are held every four years such as the Mediterranean Beach Games, where 3 bronze medals were achieved in the three editions played to date, and the World Beach Games.
At the 2022 European Championships, the women's pair made up of Marika Colonna and Alice Grandi finished in the top eight positions, a result confirmed in the 2023 edition held in Heraklion, where the blue-and-whites were eliminated one step away from the semi-final by the Italians Daina – Nobile, medalist silver.
In 2018 and 2019, one of the most prestigious ITF indoor tournaments was held at the Wonderbay in November, with a prize pool of $10,000, with the participation of the top athletes in the world ranking.
In 2012 the beach tennis courts of San Marino also hosted the European Beach Tennis Championships, which saw the participation of 20 nations.
